Stephen leads our Storytelling Team and has been instrumental in its creation and success. He started his career in the arts, working at the British Film Institute and the Barbican. Subsequently, he spent nine years running a video production company, which created videos for public environments - including several major exhibitions for the V&A Museum.
“Our ambition for the EY-Seren Storytelling Team is to create innovative ways for our clients to explain both the process and the outcome of their transformative projects. That might be anything from helping them visualise research insights, to better communicating their work to executive stakeholders or employees experiencing change.
Storytelling is such a useful technique. It helps bring change to life for people to really understand a new vision or capture the process for posterity. It can be woven all through the project life-cycle, which is what makes my work so varied and exciting.
On any typical week, I am running 10-15 live projects, and they're all at different stages of the production process. I can move from presenting a finished project to a client, to applying the final touches to an edit, to writing a script, to creating storyboards in the space of a day.
One of the most brilliant aspects of working for EY-Seren is being immersed in a company that deals with the whole project life-cycle. That means I get to work with people from all practices and am not hidden away inside a marketing and communications department. I am constantly exposed to new ways of thinking; strategic as well as creative.”
